When the weather turned, we moved to my house

Cozier space and we could heat it well! Here is Susie’s start on some water lilies.

Holly’s magnolia flowers – and look at her palette, like a painting in itself.

September 2011 – Shannon’s Rose making progress

September 2011 – at the Fairfax Community Church

We first met at my church here in Fairfax. Huge room, big tables. This isn’t the first day, but one of the first weeks.

The Beginning – August 2011

This is Shannon Brown’s painting the first time she came to paint with me. It was she who really got me going with leading/teaching watercolor. I had terrible deer in the headlights about it, and she encouraged me. And I couldn’t be more grateful. She came over for a couple of hours, we decided the paper she’d drawn these roses on was too small, so I got her a piece of my 22″x30″ 300lb Arches, we set up the Artograph and she re-drew it. Then we painted together. That was August of last year (2011). I then made plans for the group to start in mid-September, after the Sausalito festival was over.
